Synopsis

We bring back this “musical” version of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, as envisioned by our artistic director Diane Retallack, in which Christmas Past is a Renaissance Feast, Christmas Present occurs in the time of mid-1800s Dickens, and Christmas Future is a raucous, kitschy look at contemporary culture. This production is fully staged, with colorful costumes and sets, theatrical lighting and sound, and action, pageantry, and choreography.

Performers: Eugene Concert Choir & Orchestra and the “Lords and Ladies” of Eugene Vocal Arts splendidly attired in Elizabethan dress, with special guests featuring William Campbell as Scrooge, a full cast of fine actors, Byrdsong Consort, David “Elvis” Lomond, breakdancer/acrobat Facinet Sylla, and the Churchill High School Concert Choir directed by Jacob Steinberger.
